I had the experience of going to Spain and Dominican Republic.....

Study Abroad
I studied abroad in Valencia, Spain for a month, fully immersed in the language and culture. During my time there, I strengthened my Spanish speaking and listening skills through daily interactions with locals and formal coursework. I also gained a deeper understanding of Spain’s diverse traditions, history, and regional expressions of the language. This experience confirmed my passion for teaching Spanish and inspired me to bring authentic cultural perspectives into my future classroom. It was a valuable step toward becoming the kind of Spanish teacher who can connect students to real-world language use and global understanding.
Study Abroad
I spent two weeks in the Dominican Republic, where I participated in a community service program focused on helping local families. Through this experience, I not only improved my Spanish in real-life situations but also developed a deeper appreciation for the resilience and warmth of the Dominican people. Working alongside community members taught me the importance of service, cultural respect, and communication. This trip reinforced my desire to become a Spanish teacher who encourages empathy, global awareness, and meaningful language use beyond the classroom.
